Last week I was joined by Lee-Anne, Paul, Tanja, Gemma, Francis, Helen, Margot and Ann on a visual tour of the Australian Plant Communities. With so many eyes and a wealth of knowledge held by the Education officers, the walk was a wonderful experience of spotting many textures, flowers, new growth and dramatic forms. Thank you all for coming I had a great time and hope you did too.Paul has put together a great photo story of the walk, you can view it here.

Hi Nicola
ReplyDeleteI just took a peek at Pauls photo story what a treasure. Just Beautiful! What a wounderful way to document the day. It really captures the essence of your walk. I can only imagine. This is similar to the photo book Belinda and I are working on about Explore the line the trip we took to the Dandenongs. Candyxx
Hi Nicola,
ReplyDeleteLooking at Paul's photo story reminded me of the lovely day we spent walking through the Australian Plant Communities. Thanks for sharing that with me.

Hi Nicola
ReplyDeleteI have been visiting your website and blog after you emailed me the links and I must say that really like the way you have put your artwork, thoughts and information together into a charming visual experience. I had a great couple of hours with you and the other Education Officers last Friday and it was great to see the APC from the viewpoint of an artist rather than the more scientific, practical way in which I usually think about it. I would also like to thank you for posting a link to my photo story on your blog as well I am really quite proud of it. My background is in education (not botany or horticulture so sometimes I feel like a fish out-of-water with the other Education Officers) and I was (and still am) particularly interested in children's literature and information technology when I was teaching in primary schools for many years. Your journey inspired me to marry the two fields into the photo story. Thanks again.
Paul
